Lower back pain
that keeps returning
has a structural cause.
Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) is a systematic method for finding and correcting that structural cause — not just managing the pain. Dr Dave is one of Perth's few Level 2 certified ABC practitioners.
You shouldn't have to push through it
Back pain doesn't just hurt — it costs you at work, at training, and with your family.
Can't focus at your desk
Shifting in your chair every 20 minutes. Lower back tightening by mid-morning. Your productivity pays the price.
Can't train the way you want
Skipping the gym, modifying your sport, pulling back from activities you love because your back won't hold up.
Can't be fully present
Picking up the kids, kicking a ball in the backyard — simple things hurt. That's not something you want to accept.
We find and fix what's actually causing your pain
Most lower back pain isn't random — it's structural. Getting to the root cause requires a thorough assessment, not a quick pop and send-off.
-
Thorough assessment — we take time to understand your history, examine your posture, and identify the structural cause of your problem.
-
Personalised care plan — we match our techniques to your clinical needs and goals. No cookie-cutter approach.
-
Boutique, solo practice — you always see Dr Dave. No handoffs to junior practitioners, no surprises.
-
ABC Level 2 certified — one of Perth's very few Level 2 practitioners of Advanced Biostructural Correction™.
ABC works from first principles: it identifies structural shifts in your spine that your body can't self-correct, then systematically corrects them. Unlike symptom-based approaches, ABC addresses root cause — which is why results tend to hold between visits rather than wearing off.

What to expect
Dr Dave takes a thorough history of your pain, posture, lifestyle, and previous care. Not a rushed intake form — a real conversation about what's brought you here.
A thorough assessment including postural analysis, movement screening, and spinal examination to understand what's happening structurally.
Where indicated, Dr Dave will refer for X-rays, MRI, or other investigations before finalising your care plan.
At your second appointment Dr Dave lays out a clear pathway — from where you are now to where you want to be — based on your results and your goals for care.

Focused on lower back pain — and the structure behind it
Lower back pain and sciatica are among the most common reasons patients visit Bee Chiropractic. Whether it's acute (you put your back out last week) or chronic (it's been building for years) — a structural assessment tells us what's actually driving it.
We also regularly see neck pain, headaches, and postural concerns. Whatever brings you in, the approach is the same: find the structural cause, correct it, and track the change over time.
Dr Dave Hawkes
Dr Dave grew up in Perth and has been practising chiropractic for 12 years — including stints in Ottawa and Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, before returning home and opening Bee Chiropractic in Mount Hawthorn in 2019.
He's a Level 2 Advanced Biostructural Correction practitioner with additional training in SOT and Diversified techniques. ABC is his primary focus — it's systematic, predictable, and produces real structural change rather than short-term relief.
As a father himself, Dr Dave is passionate about chiropractic care for the whole family — from newborns to grandparents. He believes in vitalistic health principles and in educating patients about movement, nutrition, and lifestyle.
